Thank You New Zealand Style ...

I love to create personal gifts for my friend’s and family ...

Recently a lovely lady called Shelley from "Lees Grove Emporium", helped me with the purchase of the Fluidity Barre.

I made Shelley a “Thank You” greeting card, along with a matching framed piece of my artwork.

As a perfectionist, I was all set to send of my parcel of goodies, when I noticed an ink line across that framed piece, so of course had to remake it!!!

Being a proud New Zealander, along with the Card and Frame, I also gift-wrapped two blocks of Whittaker’s Creamy Milk Chocolate - oh YUM!!!

I wrap all my gifts with the plain brown packaging paper that Stampin’ Up sends in their parcels.

I then take a strip, in this case 3 strips, and emboss it.

The final touch is always butterflies with Pearls.

I hope Shelly enjoys her “Thank You” gift as much as I enjoyed making it!

Women Connecting: Monday 21st March 2016

I was so delighted to be asked to teach again this Term at “Women Connecting”, at Church Of Christ - Richmond.

Women Connecting meets every 1^st, 3^rd and 5^th Monday of the month.

The cost is worked out based on the products used, my Class cost $5, the Class before was $12, and at that Class, we made a fantastic wooden Hoodall, which I will blog about soon!

On Monday night {21^st March}, we made a beautiful Shabby Chic birthday card, with a Bookmark attached, and matching envelope.

It was really great to teach the ladies new techniques, such as faux stitching, rolling the corner of the cardstock {and ensuring the faux stitching and stamping showing on the reverse of the roll}, ribbon pleating, and many other yummy techniques!

I also demonstrated the ease of using the Stampin’ Trimmer, the Trimmer Rotary Addition {and Perforating Blade - retired} and Simply Scored Board.

There was allot of stamping on this project, to make it look really vintage, and we used the “Timeless Textures” stamp set, which is my favourite stamp set from the Occasions Catalogue, and also featured the “Birthday Blooms” stamp set.

Here's a sneak peak at alllllllll the ingredients used to make this gorgeous card, and yes, there were 22 Pearls featured!!!

I made up 40 Kits, and there were 33 ladies there on the night.

Although there was allot of preparation, on the night, the night flew by!

Can’t wait for the next “Women Connecting” meeting, Monday 4^th April.

This week the colour theme is “Pink Pirouette”, which is such a gorgeous colour to work with.

First up we made this gorgeous wedding card, featuring the lovely stamp sets “Your Perfect Day” and “Something Lacy”, and the “Spring Flowers” Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

The layering is created with the “Deco Labels Collection” Framelits ...

The second card was made using the “Window Frames Collection” Framelits, as I had loaned out the ”Deco’s”.

Our second project featured my new PaperTrey Ink Die “Bloom Builders”, the “Hello You” Thinlits Dies and matching “Crazy About You” stamp set, + “A Dozen Thoughts”, “Gorgeous Grunge” and “Petite Petals” stamp sets …

Happy Mother’s Day …

The 2^nd Sunday in May, we always celebrate Mother’s day here in New Zealand.

I am fortunate to have two Mothers in my life, my Mom Dale, and Mom-in-Law Nola, I call her “my Nola”.

This is the card I made for these xtra special ladies ...

This year I gave my Mom a scarf from Portmans. As this morning my Mom and Dad departed for their life-long dream of seeing Alaska, and for my Nola, I gave her this gorgeous “Vintage Teapot” Scentsy Warmer and the “Zen Garden” Scentsy Bar ...

I was tickled pink when my beautiful eleven year old daughter JorjaRose gave me this handmade card and matching gift bag that she had made ...

She had filled it with tissues, chocolates, a bath bomb and a poem.
