I’m All Big Shot’ed Out!!!

Recently one of my favourite crafty ladies {M}, departed for a 2 month stay in Invercargill, which is at the bottom of the South Island and very cold!

As it is so cold, M will be spending a lot of time indoors and crafting.

So I set to, and made her some words to go with all the cards she will be making.

Using the “Hello You” Thinlits, I cut her 4 words in 8 colours, x3 each + the same in butterflies, using the “Butterflies” Thinlits.

Can you do the math?

That means I cut 4x8x3=96 words and 8x3=24 butterflies!

Phew, hence why I am “All Big Shot’ed Out”!!!

I sorted all the words and butterflies, and then using the negative details from the images, I popped the items into different envelopes.

Wah-lah M is ready to get her craft on!!!

“Create With Kathe” Craft Class For Thursday 7th May 2015

This week the colour theme is “Pink Pirouette”, which is such a gorgeous colour to work with.

First up we made this gorgeous wedding card, featuring the lovely stamp sets “Your Perfect Day” and “Something Lacy”, and the “Spring Flowers” Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

The layering is created with the “Deco Labels Collection” Framelits ...

The second card was made using the “Window Frames Collection” Framelits, as I had loaned out the ”Deco’s”.

Our second project featured my new PaperTrey Ink Die “Bloom Builders”, the “Hello You” Thinlits Dies and matching “Crazy About You” stamp set, + “A Dozen Thoughts”, “Gorgeous Grunge” and “Petite Petals” stamp sets …

Happy Mother’s Day …

The 2^nd Sunday in May, we always celebrate Mother’s day here in New Zealand.

I am fortunate to have two Mothers in my life, my Mom Dale, and Mom-in-Law Nola, I call her “my Nola”.

This is the card I made for these xtra special ladies ...

This year I gave my Mom a scarf from Portmans. As this morning my Mom and Dad departed for their life-long dream of seeing Alaska, and for my Nola, I gave her this gorgeous “Vintage Teapot” Scentsy Warmer and the “Zen Garden” Scentsy Bar ...

I was tickled pink when my beautiful eleven year old daughter JorjaRose gave me this handmade card and matching gift bag that she had made ...

She had filled it with tissues, chocolates, a bath bomb and a poem.

"Create With Kathe" For Thursday 23rd April 2015

At this weeks “Create With Kathe” Craft Class we made a “Thank You” card, using the gorgeous and versatile “Painted Petals” stamp set, and featuring the Baby Wipe Technique, and also a Baby card featuring the cute and gorgeous “Zoo Babies” stamp, along with “Something Lacy” and “B.Y.O.P.” stamp sets…

Project 1 “Painted Petals” Baby Wipe Style “Thank You” Card

For the Baby Wipe Technique, I used Island Indigo, Elegant Eggplant and Rose Red Classic Stampin’ Ink Refills ...

 

I would highly recommend you use a glass cutting board under the baby wipe, and I know from past experience that the ink stains the counter top!

This card is inspired by one created by Jacque Williams 

The cardbase is Garden Green, layered with Rose Red and Whisper White cardstock.

What with the “Petite Purse” die being on the Retired List, we just had to make a wee purse to match.

The cardstock for the purse is Whisper White, which has been stamped with the “Petite Petals” stamp set and using the Baby Wipe Technique.

Love how this card turned out!

Of course Jen changed hers up a tad and added Pearls …

Project 2 “Zoo Babies” Baby Card

The cardbase for this card is Soft Suede layered with my new favourite colour Rose Red, and Blushing Bride.
