JorjaRose Jewellery, 1 Bracelet = 3 Pairs Of Earrings!

JorjaRose Jewellery, 1 Bracelet = 3 Pairs Of Earrings! ...

Recently whilst visiting the gorgeous town of Napier, I came across this Necklace and Bracelet set, which I purchased from Farmers, on sale for $12 for the Necklace and $10 for the Bracelet.

I had a Farmers loyalty redemption of $20, so the set just cost $2!!
I wore the Necklace and Bracelet that very same day, then went back to Farmers {the next day}, and purchased a second Bracelet for $10
When I got back home from our loooong weekend away, I pulled apart {or deconstructed} the second Bracelet to make these 3 pairs of Earrings!

Love it when you can make a complete set of Jewellery, just by getting out the ole set of Jewellery Pliers, and a bit of imagination!

What do you think? … are you going to try this too?!!!

Storage Ideas With Kathe: Jewellery Storage, Oh My …

Jewellery Storage, Oh My …

So I have been searching in vain recently for my {lost} set Jewellery Pliers.
After spending many hours sitting on the floor of my Craft Room searching, I decided the only option I had left was to buy another set …
Little did I know that this would set me back $24.95!!!

So recently I shopped at my favourite store, Jacqui e, and boy did I get some bargains, like a Belt for $1.30, down from $25, and Scarfs for $3.50 down from $40!!!
I also purchased a new Necklace and Bracelet set.
The Necklace was $19.95, down from $39.95, and the Bracelet was $12.95, down from $24.95

Whenever I purchase a new set of costume jewellery, I always purchase 2 Bracelets, that way I can pull apart {or deconstruct} the 2nd Bracelet, and make a pair of Earrings {or two}!

So yesterday I set to in my Craft Room making some Jewellery, and this is the result …

While I was making some jewellery, I thought you may be interested to see how I store my rather large collection …

The Necklaces hanging are hung on double hooks, which I designed myself. They are stored in my Closet/Wardrobe, that way you can’t see them if you were a burglar looking in through my bedroom window!

I have a rather large collection of Rings, which I store in a container on my Dresser, along with my Earring collection.

Please bear {beer/bare???} in mind that this is 20 years of collecting jewellery, I hate to show you my MakeUp collection!!!

Have I inspired you to try and make some jewellery too?!!

Sending paper-hugs your way,
Kathe.

RE# With “Create With Kathe” For Wednesday 8th April 2015

At this weeks RE# Class we made a Mini Album and some Soda Pop Keyrings.
The Mini Album is based on an Album we made in Class back on 12th March.

Hayley and Brydee chose their own colours, Hayley went with her favourite colour pink, which was a combination of Blushing Bride and Strawberry Slush cardstock, the Brydee went with her favourite colour purple, which was a combo of Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant cardstock.

For the Soda Pop Keyrings, the girls and I made 4 each.
JorjaRose {without me knowing it} made a whole bunch more for her friends!!!
We used a combination of stamps and stickers, and sealed them with Crystal Effects and a sprinkle of Dazzling Diamonds.
We had to let them set overnight, and the girls came back the next day to pick up their xtra cute keyrings.

At this weeks RE# Class on Wednesday evening 6:30pm>8:30pm, we will be making shabby chic feminine card with the "Moon Lake" stamp set, and a masculine card featuring the "Guy Greetings" and "By The Tide" stamp sets.
Bookings essential!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by, and if you would like to make a Stampin’ Up! purchase online, please head on over  to my Stampin’ Up! website.

Happy craftin’,

Kathe.

Guest Blogger: Bev Todd With Mini Album …

So excited to share with you this Mini Album, made by my very good friend Bev.
I recently taught this Mini Album at a "Create With Kathe" Class, and as Bev was unable to come that day, I gave her the Mini Album sample that I had made In Class.
Bev then went to my Blog Post, and followed the cutting instructions etc, and this is the Mini Album that she came up with ...

Featuring the Stampin' Up! "Scalloped Tag Topper" Punch for the Tags, and the "Butterflies" Thinlits Dies.
The second layer of Butterfly is actaully the wax paper that we use between the Butterfly Die and the cardstock, which usually ends up in the rubbish bin.
This is a great way to use up all those excess butterflies!

Such fun ... Mini Album by Bev done!

These are the Mini Albums that we made that day in Class ...

“Create With Kathe” For Thursday 26th February 2015

I always like to do a mini display each week for my ladies, showing the past weeks Class, the projects I have made during the week, along with the projects for that day.
It always looks so bright and welcoming  …

This week we had fun making a thank you card and matching gift jar ...

Techniques covered this week are the “Smackin’ Acetate”, Spritzing, Die Cutting, stamping, sponging, layering and using the Envelope Punch Board to create a Tabbed File Card.
With the "Smackin' Acetate" Technique, no two cards ever turn out the same ...

Stamp sets featured are “Hardwood”, “Painted Petals” and “Papillion Potpourri”.
We re-purposed the brown paper that comes in the BBB {Big Brown Box that the Stampin’ Up! order arrives in}, and herbal medicine containers {thanks Kay and Teresa}.
I kept the colour theme throughout based on the “Painted Blooms” DSP that I used for the gift jar, of Pacific Point and Wild Wasabi ...
