"Create With Kathe" for Thursday 13th November 2014

This week we made 5 projects!!!
Well actually, a decorated card holder with 3 cards, featuring the “White Christmas” stamp set, and a 4th card featuring the colours Blackberry Bliss, Basic Gray and Whisper White.

Project 1 “White Christmas” Gift Card Set

This week’s feature stamp set was “White Christmas”, my favourite from the current Seasonal Catalogue.
I wanted to demonstrate to the ladies 3 very different cards, all featuring the same stamp set, “White Christmas”.
Each card also features matching embellished envelopes, with stamping and the Textured Impressions Embossing Folders of “Lucky Stars” and “Northern Flurry”.
The idea for this card box is a case via Jacque Williams, who case’d it via Kristine McNickle and Kirstie Goldfinch.
The gift box is made with the “Gift Card Enclosure Pack”, and the cards and envelopes come in a handy pre-made pack, called “Note Cards & Envelopes”.

I drew inspiration for the second card from Lisa Young  ...

And the last card with the sponging technique via Michelle Zindorf ...

But as always added my own artistic interpretation!
Wah-lah … “White Christmas” Gift Card Set done!

Project 2 “Gorgeous Grunge” + “Petite Petals” Card

This card idea is a case via Heather Van Looy who in turn cae’s it via Sam Donald from Pootles Papercraft

As always I added my own twist, adding the Blackberry Bliss Stitched Satin Ribbon bow, tied with the Linen Thread, and also making two versions of my interpretation of this card, the first with Rhinestone Basic Jewels, and the second with Pearl Basic Jewels.

I also layered up the card insert with Blackberry Bliss, Basic Gray and Whisper White.

Wah-lah …”Gorgeous Grunge” + “Petite Petals” Card done!

What Have I Missed?!!!

“What Have I Missed?!!!”

One of my crafty ladies returned last night after being away for a month on leave … and yes I do grant “leave”!!!
She was super excited to see what we got up to over the past month at my “Create With Kathe” Craft Classes ...

Her first ? when she arrived last night was … “What have I missed?!!!”.

I had a wee surprise planned for her, I had made ALL her projects over the past 4 weeks, and had them ready to present to her last night as a welcome back gift.

To say she was super surprised is an understatement!!!

She went home with a wee skip to her step AND super delighted, + she couldn't wait to share her haul with her hubby!
