Altered Butterfly Album ...

Want a sneaky peak at this weeks “Create With Kathe” Class? … well here it is … an “Altered Butterfly Album” that I made earlier this week with my Zutter Bind-It-All.

It has a decorated cover featuring Watercolour Paper and the stamp set “Painted Petals”. The sentiment "Life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful" from the "Perfect Pennant" stamp set and stamped in Lost Lagoon.

The Album has 8 pocket envelopes {envelopes were made using the Envelope Punch Board}, which are made to fit 6”x4” photos.

This is a great way to use up your older Designer Series Paper, in this instance I used up my old “Tea For Two” DSPs.

We will be making a slightly smaller version at this weeks “Create With Kathe” Class, so book your place now!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by, and if you would like to make a Stampin’ Up! purchase online, please head on over  to my Stampin’ Up! website.

Happy craftin’,
Kathe.

“Create With Kathe” For Thursday 26th February 2015

I always like to do a mini display each week for my ladies, showing the past weeks Class, the projects I have made during the week, along with the projects for that day.
It always looks so bright and welcoming  …

This week we had fun making a thank you card and matching gift jar ...

Techniques covered this week are the “Smackin’ Acetate”, Spritzing, Die Cutting, stamping, sponging, layering and using the Envelope Punch Board to create a Tabbed File Card.
With the "Smackin' Acetate" Technique, no two cards ever turn out the same ...

Stamp sets featured are “Hardwood”, “Painted Petals” and “Papillion Potpourri”.
We re-purposed the brown paper that comes in the BBB {Big Brown Box that the Stampin’ Up! order arrives in}, and herbal medicine containers {thanks Kay and Teresa}.
I kept the colour theme throughout based on the “Painted Blooms” DSP that I used for the gift jar, of Pacific Point and Wild Wasabi ...

Case’ing The Catty, Framed “Painted Blooms”

Case’ing the Catty, on page 18 of the new Occasionals brochure is lovely picture frame, with a piece of the gorgeous “Painted Blooms” Designer Series Paper in it.
Of course I just had to purchase this pack of gorgeous papers, just so as I could frame up this piece of pretty paper.
But wait there’s more … you get 2 sheets of this paper, along with some equally gorgeous designs in the pack ...

I picked up the frame from The Warehouse, as it matches back with all my framed work of late.
Wah –lah … Framed “Painted Blooms” done!

Pop Out Swing Card - Masculine Style

Here’s a masculine themed "Pop Out Swing Card" featuring the “Crazy About You” stamp set and “Hello You” Thinlits.
This version is in Pear Pizzazz and Garden Green, with a card base of Naturals White.
I originally made this card for my father-in-law, but he arrived too early for the afternoon tea party, so I had to give him one from my stash, as this one was not quite finished!

For the construction details, head on over to my original Post here, which also has the recipe ingredient list.
