Guest Blogger: Lynn McNeill With Mini Album …

Lynn and I sat down a couple of weeks ago and made a Mini Album, using the Zutter Bind It All, and Envelope Punch Board.
Lynn spent the next couple of weeks titivating her Album, which was a gift for a lovely friend of hers, and this is the result …

Every page is jam packed with photos, sentiments and pull out tabs with secret messages.
As there were so many personal photos showing Lynn’s friend, I am unable to show you each individual page, but you can see how thick the Album is, and get the general gist, based on the cover, as to how it is decorated through-out the Album

Thanks so much Lynn for sharing this beautiful gift.

Guest Blogger: Bev Todd With Mini Album …

So excited to share with you this Mini Album, made by my very good friend Bev.
I recently taught this Mini Album at a "Create With Kathe" Class, and as Bev was unable to come that day, I gave her the Mini Album sample that I had made In Class.
Bev then went to my Blog Post, and followed the cutting instructions etc, and this is the Mini Album that she came up with ...

Featuring the Stampin' Up! "Scalloped Tag Topper" Punch for the Tags, and the "Butterflies" Thinlits Dies.
The second layer of Butterfly is actaully the wax paper that we use between the Butterfly Die and the cardstock, which usually ends up in the rubbish bin.
This is a great way to use up all those excess butterflies!

Such fun ... Mini Album by Bev done!

These are the Mini Albums that we made that day in Class ...

Guest Blogger: Stephanie

I was visiting with my very good friend Stephanie yesterday, and after demonstrating the new Stampin’ Up! “Lotus Blossom” stamp set for her, we moved on to her latest projects.
The cards that Stephanie had to show me were truly stunning, and very intricate.
These are just two of her beautifully hand-made cards ...

A wedding card in Ivory is always exquisite, and Stephanie has such great taste when matching her intricate Dies back with Pearls and other embellishments.

Thanks Stephanie for sharing your art with me.

Guest Blogger: Merilyn Irvine

I received this truly gorgeous and beautiful handmade Christmas card from my good friend Merilyn today.
It is truly a masterpiece of painstaking hand-colouring with Blendabilities, Uni-Ball Signo Gel Pen in White, and an Artline Pen in Black.
Featuring the “Holiday Home” stamp set and matching “Homemade Holiday” Framelits, everywhere I look I see xtra special details, liked Santa and his reindeer prancing through the nights sky.
I love the contrast of the colours used, especially the homes in Crumb Cake.
The finishing touch is the Gold Metallic Baker’s Twine, tied in a sweet bow.

Thanks Merliyn, I shall cherish this gorgeous card for years to come.

Guest Blogger: Jen Hassloch With “Easter Egg Explosion”

Jen has made this stunning Card In A Box using the Stampin’ Up “Backyard Basics” stamp set and matching Framelits.
Each egg has been individually coloured using Faber-Castell Watercolour Pencils and SU Aqua Painters to blend.

The sentiment that Jen has used is from the Sale-A-Bration stamp set “You’re Lovely”.
To finish off the card, Jen has added cute coloured cotton balls to the base of the Card In A Box.
I love how colourful Jen’s card is, even when folded flat.

Guest Blogger: Sally Rice with “Springtime Hello”

The very talented Sally made this gorgeous card as a swap for an upcoming 2014 Seasonal Catalogue Swap.
Sally featured the beautiful stamp set “Springtime Hello” on her card, and used the “Painter’s Tape” technique.
I just the little bee hovering over the flowers, so cute!

Sally’s tip, if purchasing the clear Mount set, that you can cut the words in two, so instead of having a single stamp saying “hello spring!” you can then have two stamps, one saying “hello” and the other “spring!” {which can also be put back together again to say “hello spring!”}, which make this stamp set all the more versatile.
This can also work with any other worded Clear Mount stamp set - thanks Sally!
