Sally and Kathe’s Stampin’ Up! Sneak Peak Launch

Well, I have finally downloaded the photos from our Catty Launch, back on Sunday 31St May!
We had an amazing afternoon of fun and laughter, and we, along with our guests really enjoyed the afternoon.

At each place setting, there was a new catty, along with a handmade paper-crafted gift from Sally, and a 3”x3” card {cased via Glenda Calkins from “The Stamp Camp”} in the new In Colours, along with a bookmark {cased via Erica B. Cerwin from “PinkBuckaroo Designs”}, showing ALL the new In Colours, made via moi.

As each guest arrived, they were given a lucky number (made with my Ornate Tag Topper Punch and Perforating Blade}, as we had a Prize Patrol table, lined up with 27 gifts!
That meant each guest also went home with a prize, and 7 lucky ladies received a second prize from the table. There were stamp sets, ink pads, Stampin’ Write Markers, a Stampin’ Scrub + many other goodies on the table.

Sally and I had a display table {whoopsee – forgot to take a photo!} of samples, Sally concentrated on samples made with the new Gift Bag Punch Board, and I concentrated on samples using the new In Colours.

We split the guests into two groups and we both taught our project, Sally taught her gorgeous Gift Bag, using the NEW Gift Bag Punch Board, and I taught a card, that had a bookmark attached {again using my Perforating Blade}.

We then took a wee break for some yummy afternoon tea.
Sally made an amazing two layered cake and decorated it as a wedding cake, a two of our guests {who just happened to be sisters} were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary!

We then cracked on and switched the groups up and re-taught our projects.

We all had a really lovely afternoon, and met some new friends, and can't wait to do it all over again!

Thanks for stopping by, please feel free to leave a comment.

Happy craftin’

Kathe.

“Create With Kathe” For Thursday 2nd October 2014

So sorry for the late Post, I have lost my camera, and had to resort to cellphone piccies!
Last week we made two cute cards, one, an unashamedly case via my Mentor Jacque Williams, and the second, a Christmas Card, yes I did say it!
As we have hit October, the countdown is now on till Christmas!!!

Project 1 “Textured Hello Darling” Card

Featuring the “Choose Happiness”, “Hello Darling”, and “Papillion Potpourri” stamp sets, and “Lovely Lace” Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Just had to break out the “Hello Darling” stamp set and “Lovely Lace” TIEF as they both arrived in the last Stampin’ Up! order!

The ladies had a choice between Pool Party, Lost Lagoon or  Blackberry Bliss … and they all chose Blackberry Bliss!

The card is a case via Jacque, which she taught at a recent Class, my ladies loved the card so much that they requested we make it too!
Changes made to the original include Linen Thread {instead of Metallic Bakers Twine}, and on the inside of the card, I added a gold embossed Bird, which is on Vellum and fussy cut.

And the sentiment “Choose Happiness” {which has been coloured with Stampin’ Write Markers in Blackberry Bliss, Early Espresso, and Soft Suede}.

Both of these stamps are from the “Choose Happiness” stamp set.

Wah-lah … “Textured Hello Darling” Card done!

Project 2 “Lovely As A Tree” Christmas Flip Card

The “flip” for this Christmas Card is created by using the “Circle Card Thinlits” Die, which are my favourite out of the 3 flip card dies currently available.
+ the “Circle Card Thinlits” Die comes in a pack with 10 dies!!!

The cardbase for this card is Pool Party, with Soft Suede and Whisper White cardstock making an appearance.
Stamp sets featured are “Good Greetings”, “Hardwood”, “Holiday Home”, “Letterpress Winter”, and of course “Lovely As A Tree”!

I love the tress, which are stamped is Soft Suede, and then sponged in Soft Sky.
The Banner sentiment “Merry Christmas” looks so cute which is layered over a background of “All Is Calm Designer” Washi Tape and Venetian Crochet Trim, which is then secured with a little staple and the new “Handheld Stapler”.

Everywhere you look, there are tiny details, from the message “from our home  to yours at Christmastime”, to the little snowflakes, the “Decorative Dots” Textured Impressions Embossing Folder , and of course the beautiful trees!

This card was fun to make, but took a bit of time to get all the measurements right, oh and VERY hard to photograph too!!!

Wah-lah … “Lovely As A Tree” Christmas Flip Card done!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by, and if you would like to make a Stampin’ Up! purchase online, please head on over  to my Stampin’ Up! website.

Happy craftin’,
Kathe.

Guest Blogger: Jen Hassloch “Lovely As A Tree” Double Slider Card

“Lovely As A Tree” Double Slider Card By Jen Hassloch

Monday was my birthday, and my very good friend Jen made this gorgeous birthday card, a Double Slider Card, using the Stampin’ Up! “Lovely As A Tree” stamp set.
This isn't just any Double Slider Card, because when you slide with the ribbon tag on the right, the panel on the left shoots out to reveal a hidden message in the centre of the card!
If you look very closely, you will see on the middle panel (the card-base) that there is a Window Sheet (Acetate) that has a Tree stamped on it, with Black Staz On.
On the cardstock panel underneath, Jen has hand coloured with watercolour pencils a tree, and blended with Aqua Painters, and written the words “You’re One In A Million”.
So when the card is closed, it looks like a number of beautiful trees, on a grassy knoll, with gorgeous blue sky in the background, but when the Tab is pulled, a number of luscious tress are displayed on both panels, and the gorgeous hidden message is revealed!
The Student has well and truly outdone the Tutor this time!

Thanks so much Jen, YOU are one in a million!
