Masculine Birthday Card ...

It hardly seems a year since we celebrated my Dad’s birthday!
This is the card I made yesterday, based on the Mitre10Mega gift card I gave him ...

The card-base is Basic Gray, with the contrasting colour of Smokey Slate.
I featured the Sika FibaTape that I have used in the past, this time on a diagonal.
Stamp sets featured are “Harwood”, which has been embossed in Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder, “Label Love” which has been embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, “Crazy About You”, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, “Measuring Tape” stamp from Urban Stamps, which is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on Smokey Slate, then cut into strips.

Dies featured are the “Hello You” Thinlits on the card insert, as well as the All Occasions Dies “Tools Set” for the cute{and masculine} set of tools, which have been cut in Basic Gray cardstock.
My Dad loved his birthday card… and his gift card!

Wah-lah … “Masculine Birthday Card” done!

Pop Out Swing Card - Masculine Style

Here’s a masculine themed "Pop Out Swing Card" featuring the “Crazy About You” stamp set and “Hello You” Thinlits.
This version is in Pear Pizzazz and Garden Green, with a card base of Naturals White.
I originally made this card for my father-in-law, but he arrived too early for the afternoon tea party, so I had to give him one from my stash, as this one was not quite finished!

For the construction details, head on over to my original Post here, which also has the recipe ingredient list.

“Create With Kathe” For Thursday, 12th February 2015

#CreateWithKathe #JorjaRoseFiles

After Thursdays “Card Off” with Jen being such a great success, I decided to teach my crafty ladies the “4 Panel Card” this week.
This was a mammoth project and they did so well!

Project 1 "4 Easel Panel Card"
This version is Strawberry Slush with Blushing Bride, whereas last weeks combo was Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder.
This "4 Easel Panel" card features the stamp sets "Petal Potpourri", "Something To Say" and "Kinda Eclectic".

I first saw this sketch/design by Debbie Henderson over at "Debbie's Designs" as she has also recently made a 4 Easel Panel card, based on measurement by Diane Kirk.
To read my construction details is full, please go to my latest "Card Off” With Jen Blog post, click here

Wah-lah ... "4 Easel Panel Card" done {again!}!

Wah-lah ... "4 Easel Panel Card" done {again!}!

Project 2 Masculine “Big Day” + “Celebrate Today” Card
Our second card was a “Z Fold” card, and featured the “Floral Frames” Collection Framelits, which were in last weeks Weekly Deals, they paired back nicely with the {My Digital Studio} Medallion stamp, which was stamped in Sahara Sand.

The sentiment is from the Sale-A-Bration stamp set “Big Day”, and  is stamped in Early Espresso, and then dipped into the Clear Emboss Power, whilst the ink was still wet, then heat set with the Heat Tool.
Love the combo on the Burlap Ribbon {leftovers from the “Burlap and Blooms” Kit} and the Early Espresso Seam Binding Ribbon.

For the card insert, I choose to do a “ba-bam!” when opening the card, with the gorgeous balloons {from the “Celebrate Today” stamp set and matching “Balloons” Framelits} in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder, with an accent of Night Of Navy and Vellum.
The sentiment “Happy Birthday” {from the “Big Day” stamp set} is also stamped in Night Of Navy

The finishing touch is the Pearl Basic Jewel, which has been coloured with the “Skin Tone” Blendabilities, which gives it a nice chocolaty look.
The pairing of Night Of Navy, Soft Suede, Early Espresso and Naturals White gives this card a nice masculine feel.
Wah-lah … Masculine “Big Day” + “Celebrate Today” card done!

“Create With Kathe” For Thursday 5th June 2014

Thursday’s Class{es} were so much fun!
For the afternoon Class we had Bev, Kay, and Marion attend, and Kay made some yummy Chocolate Muffins with tiny Easter Eggs in the centre, + of course my Sour Worms!
For the evening Class, Lizzy and Jen attended, with Lizzy bringing along some divine fudge, + we had a packet of Chewy Caramel Tim Tams - of course!

Project 1: Wedding Card
Bev requested a Wedding Card, blue themed to match back with a wedding Invitation, as Bev and her hubby were attending a wedding that same weekend.

“Pacific Point “ was an exact colour match, with Naturals White as the card base.
We made a tri-fold card, with the front panel an inspiration that came from Pinterest which so far I have had 886 repins – so sorry I do not know who the original artist was!!!

The first version used Clear Embossing Powder on the front panel, the second card has White Embossing Powder, both feature the retiring “Very Vintage” Wheel.
Tulle in “Café a Lait” is placed over the entire front panel. Then cinched with Bakers Twine and a heart shaped wooden button.
Two birds in Pacific Point are punched using the Bird Builder punch, and Pearls added for the eyes, and 2 little hearts in Blushing Bride are punched using the Small Heart punch, and 2 more Pearls are added.
The second panel features the “You are Loved” stamp set {My Digital Studio}, the large floral heart stamped in Blushing Bride, and on a scrap piece of cardstock, in Pacific Point the word “Love” is stamped, then punched with the Decorative Label punch, another small heart is added and 5 Pearls in total are on this Panel.
In Pacific Point cardstock, and using the Artisan Label punch, a label is punched and hen adhered to the Panel, a hole is made using my trusty Crop-A-Dile, then Tulle is threaded through and knotted, THEN the whole Panel is adhered to the main card base.

{Panel 2}

The last panel has two versions, the first card has a beautifully coloured bird on the third panel , however this  has been changed to a flower {thanks Kay for this idea} on the second card, both of these stamps are from the “Simply Sketched” stamp set.

{Panel 3}

{Panel 3}

Two more little hearts are added with more Pearls, and finally the words “for the new Mr. & Mrs.” Are stamped in pacific point, these words are from the “Petite Pairs” stamp set.
Wah-lah … Wedding Card done!

Project 2: “Masculine Nautical Card”
The second project also has two versions.

The card base is Naturals White which has been stamped on both sides of the cardstock with the “World Map” stamp set in Sahara Sand.

The “Festival Of Prints” {My Digital Studio} cardstock feature, with the accent colours of Island Indigo and Chocolate Chip cardstock.
Stamp set used through out this card are “Just Sayin’”, “The Open Sea”, “Wetlands”, and the “World Map”.
And Dies used are “Label Card Thinlits” {used to make the flip}, “Word Bubbles” and “Finishing Touches” Edgelits.

Punches used are “Banner”, “Extra Large Oval” and the “Postage Stamp”.
The inside Panel is Vellum, which has been cut to shape using the Label Card Thinlits, then stamped in Island Indigo with the birds from the “Wetlands” stamp set. Little banner flags have been adhered to the top, using the Banner punch, and scraps of cardstock.

The finishing touches are on the side panel, which has an Antique Brad through the Compass, Dazzling Diamonds on the birds feet, and the Anchor
which has been Dimensionaled.

Wah-lah … Masculine Nautical Card done!
