Saying goodbye to the “Festive Flurry” stamp set at Thursday’s
“Create With Kathe” Class we made this xtra cute Spinning Snowflake card,
featuring the Stampin’ Up! “Festive Flurry” stamp set and matching Framelits + “Mixed
Bunch” and “White Christmas” stamp sets…
This card also features the “Emboss Resist”
Technique and is sponged n Soft Sky and Crumb Cake.
The card-base is Pool Party, and the snowflake is
heat embossed in Silver, on Whisper White cardstock.
One of the cute and new “All Is Calm Snowflake
Embellishments” are added to the centre to the dimensionaled Snowflake and a Candy
Dot Brad Bass is used to secure along with a Rhinestone Basic Jewel.
The inside of the card has a cute Christmas scene
from the “White Christmas” stamp set and is stamped on Whisper White cardstock
in Early Espresso, and Aqua Painters are used in “Pool Party” {for the car}, “Soft
Suede” {for the trees},and “Pear Pizzazz” {for the Christmas Tree}, … way to
cute!
Our second project was this cute little envelope card bursting with butterflies ...
The card-base is Soft Suede, which has bee embossed with the Ampersand embossing Folder.
The card-base is Soft Suede, which has bee embossed with the Ampersand embossing Folder.
The paper is used for the envelope is from the “All Abloom” Designers Paper Stack, and is cut 4”x4”.
The Envelope Punch Board is used to make the cute little envelopes. It took me 8 attempts to get the sizing right, as there is not a small enough size printed on the guide sheets.
Punch and score at 2 ¼”, second punch and score is at 1 3/4”
Third punch and score at 2 ¼”, and fourth punch and score is at 1 3/4”
For the Butterflies, I used scraps of Calypso Coral and Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock, and used the “Beautiful Wings” Embosslits Dies, which cuts and embosses the butterflies at the same time.
The Basic Rhinestone Jewels have been coloured with the Calypso Coral Blendabilities.
The Tag is stamped from the “Perfect Pennant” stamp set in Early Espresso on Naturals Ivory. Cut with the “Hearts A Flutter” Framelits, and a veil of Vellum is overlaid.
A hole is punched using the Crop-A-Dile, and Venetian Crochet Trim is tied off and a small safety pin attached.
The finishing touch is the Candy Dot in Calypso Coral, at the bottom right-hand corner, which anchors the project.
On the inside of the card, it is easier to see the
effect of the Ampersand Embossing Folder.
And on the Insert which is Naturals Ivory, a scrap
of cardstock left over from the “All Abloom” DSP Stack is punched using the
Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch.
An “Elegant Butterfly” is punched in scraps, and a Calypso
Coral Butterfly is punched from the “Bitty Butterfly” Punch, and layered, with the
coloured Basic Rhinestone Jewels added to the body of the butterfly.
The words stamps in Early Espresso are “The best thing
about a person like you is that you bring out the best in everyone” is from the
“World Of Dreams” stamp set.
