My Best Friend's Gender Reveal Party ...

My Best Friend's Gender Reveal Party ...

What do you do when your best friend tells you that she is pregnant ... start planning the Gender Reveal Party of course!

On Saturday, Aleisha and Ryan celebrated their new baby boy due December 2021, and also revealed they are pregnant with twins!!!
We find out the gender of the second twin in three weeks.
I knew of course, but have had to keep it quiet these past 17 weeks, which was oh so hard!

Aleisha wanted to do a Gift Table, so that each guest went home with a handmade gift.
There were 60 gifts that I made, ranging from Calendar Fridge Magnets, Calendar Notebooks and Decorated 3B1 Notebooks, what a BIG job!!!

I also made two framed artworks for the Nursery, and a cute matching card.
There were little details on the framed artworks, like the Teddy Bear holding the Calendar with December written on it.
I always add a tonne of pearls, but always odd numbers, like 3 large Pearls, and 5 small Pearls ...

I hope you enjoy the medley of ALL these photos taken at the Baby Shower, and of the gifts I made ...

"Grazing Table"

"Drinks Table"

"Gift Table"

And these are the Gifts I made, first off the Mini Calendar Fridge Magnets...

And the Mini Calendar Notebooks ...

Whenever I have a bulk order to make, I always pre-cut everything,
then make an assembly line ...

I was really honoured that Aleisha asked my daughter JorjaRose to be the Photographer/Videographer at the party.
From my family to yours, wishing you all the best for the journey ahead Aleisha and Ryan ... with TWINS!

Hair-itage Studio's Twelve Weeks Of Christmas Promo ...

Hair-itage Studio's Twelve Weeks Of Christmas Promo ...

I have just sat down to go through some photos on my camera roll and found the "Twelve Weeks Of Christmas" promo, in which I made 12 xtra cute envelopes for Jen over at Hair-itage Studio.
Each week, a local business sponsored a service or goods, that Jen's clients were entered into, from Carpet Cleaning to Bumper Boats!
It was so exciting to see so many locals participating in Jen's Twelve Weeks Of Christmas.

My favourite was Week 6, as this really reflects Christmas in New Zealand, where we are in the middle of a beautiful Summer, and FlipFlops/Thongs/Jandals are the norm, and we often spend Christmas Day at the beach with a picnic.

I love to #SupportLocal #BuyLocal #ShopLocal #LoveLocal

Heartland Just Dropped In New Zealand!!!

Heartland Just Dropped In New Zealand!!!

Being a
🥝 Kiwi from waaaay down-under in New Zealand, would you believe Heartland on CBC is one of my  favourite  TV Shows?!!!  🐎🐎🐎

The theme song "Dreamer" by Jenn Grant is so beautiful, and always brings a smile ...

Heartland is about an extended family, running a Horse Ranch called "Heartland", along with their own individual business venture's, like Maggies the Diner, The Dude Ranch, or The Rodeo School.
Their lives, their ups, and their downs, just like any one of us.

So imagine my surprise today when I tuned in to Netflix, and discovered my fav TV Show "Heartland" had released its latest Season ... in New Zealand!!!
So it is with joy that I sit down today, and watch all 10 episodes of Season 14, back-to-back!

As I write this, I am now up to Episode 6 "

The New Normal", and my 18-year-old daughter JorjaRose has just called me to let me know "Heartland" has dropped on Netflix!

I really love Amber Marshall's character Amy Fleming, Amy is a woman with natural horsemanship and has to balance her life as a small business owner, young widow, and Mom to Lyndy.
Amber writes daily posts on her Facebook page that are really inspiring, and always make me smile.

"Heartland" and Amber sure have for me through some tough times of late.

I wrote this passage a year ago, after recovering from surgery{ies} ...

When I first came upon Heartland on CBC, Netflix was already up to Season 10, so can you imagine me watching 10 Seasons back-to-back ...
Season 1/13 Episodes, Season 2/18 Episodes, Season 3/18 Episodes, Season 4/19 Episodes, Season 5/18 Episodes, Season 6/18 Episodes, Season 7/18 Episodes, Season 8/18 Episodes, Season 9/18 Episodes, Season 10/18 Episodes and finally I was caught up!!! 🐎🐎🐎
That was 176 episodes back-to-back, can you imagine the anguish waiting for Season's 11, 12, and 13 to drop on Netflix!!! 🐎🐎🐎

Public Service Announcement …

Public Service Announcement …
Dusty is back home after being Cat-Napped … AGAIN!!!
This is the second time in 23 days he has been taken by a {different} neighbour in the next street over.
The first time to Town & Country Vet, and this last time to SPCA Nelson Centre.
Thank you to the caring staff at both places for treating Dusty so well, and looking after Dusty, till we located him, Dusty is NOT a stray, he likes to wander one street over and visit the oldies at Stillwater Gardens Retirement Village each day.
So if you see Dusty out and about, please do not feed him, and please do not Cat-Nap him!SPCA Nelson Centre have Micro-chipped Dusty, so if he turns up again, they can call us straight away. Thanks to Aleisha and Nicky for seeing Dusty on Facebook, and letting us know, so that we could be reunited with him.
If you want to see some of Dusty’s adventures, head to my article "Dusty Deserves His Own Post" …

Fundraiser: Let’s Get Sophie To Tahiti …

Hi Everyone!

My name is Sophie and I am a Year Thirteen (Grade 12) student at Waimea College {High School}.

In July this year {2019} (exact dates to be confirmed) my French class is travelling to Tahiti for 10 days so as to immerse ourselves in speaking French.
This trip is important to me as I am hugely passionate about languages, I also study Japanese, Te Reo Maori, and Korean, and I dream of one day having a career where I can use all of these languages.
This trip would highly benefit my French abilities and give me a big step up in my speaking capabilities.
I designed these shirts myself, the front saying "Why?" and the back saying "Because I can!" (in French of course!), because I am always being asked why I learn so many languages and spend so much of my time on them, and this is my answer.
I hope you will all want to support me!

Thankyou,
Sophie.

To order, please go to www.bonfire.com/lets-get-sophie-to-tahiti

Available to purchase in Premium Unisex T-Shirt, Long Sleeve Tee, Pullover Hoodie, and Women’s Slouchy Tank …
