Thursday
we had a full house, with every seat taken!
After my
very large Stampin’ Up! order arrived, I was itching to try out some new stamps
sets!
First on
the list was my new favourite “Kinda Eclectic”, I simply love this stamp set!
And of
course I couldn't resist the “Something For Baby” stamp set and matching “Baby’s First” framelits …
Project 1 “Kinda Eclectic” Card
The card
base is “Marina Mist”, with the inside insert of “Naturals White”.
Ink Pad
colours are Early Espresso, Old Olive, and Crisp Cantaloupe.
The sun
is embossed in Gold Embossing Powder, with “Champagne Glimmer Paper” for the
centre of the Sun.
The
butterflies are first stamped in “Crisp Cantaloupe” on “Blushing Bride”
cardstock, and then punched with the “Elegant Butterfly” and “Bitty Butterfly”
Punches.
On the
front of the card 3 small Basic Pearl Jewels are added to the centre of the butterfly,
and on the inside of the card Linen Thread is used to create the antennae of
the butterfly.
A Candy
Dot in Blushing Bride anchors and completes this card.
Gotta
say, ♥
this stamp set!
Project 2 “Something For Baby” Card
The
card base is “Natural White”, which has been stamped with the “Zoo Babies” stamp set in either “Marina
Mist” + “Daffodil Delight” for the baby boy card, or “Strawberry Slush” + “Daffodil
Delight” for the baby girl card.
The
front of the card is then embossed with the “Alphabet Press” Embossing Folder.
Bakers
Twine in Early Espresso it tied in a knot at both ends, then adhered with Glue
Dots to form a clothesline.
The
Banner Punch is used to punch tiny banners in alternate colours of Marina Mist”
+ “Daffodil Delight” for the baby boy card, or “Strawberry Slush” + “Daffodil Delight”
for the baby girl card.
Hanging
from the Clothesline/Banners are a cute baby onesie, tie and booties, all from
the “Something For Baby” stamp set, and cut using the matching “Baby’s First”
Framelits.
The
finishing touch is the Banner at the bottom corner of the card, with the
wording “Celebrate You” from the “Cupcake Party” stamp set, which had a Banner cut
at one end, and a cute yellow duck at the other end, which has been fussy cut.
On
the inside of the card are the words “Wishing you a wonderful journey through a
world of dreams come true!” from the “World Of Dreams” stamp set.
This
stamp set is a fantastic addition to my craft room, and I am already imagining
the possibilities, and my next few projects featuring this xtra cute “Something
for Baby” stamp set.
